CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Capability Verification and Assessment Test Analyst.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

 

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:  

As member of the Integration & Test (I&T) Functional Area of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will be paired with more experienced engineers to: coordinate, develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC. Under supervision, coordinate design implementation in an integrated environment and test specific capabilities. 

  • Conduct post-test data analysis and reporting.
  • Create test Discrepancy Reports to document issues and assist development with the investigation and resolution of issues.
  • In addition, this position, as a technical support position, requires the daily rhythm of managing the C2BMC Integration & Test team data for accurate testing and analysis reporting.
  • CVA Technical support responsibilities include:
  • Participating in required ES requirements or DTAP peer reviews. Participating in required VTF peer reviews.
  • Ensuring the Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) and Midas Status Tracking Tool (MTRACK) are synchronized per PR-PM-0020 Synchronization of Verification Data in DOORS and MTrack.
  • Communicating synchronization results to DOORS administrator weekly.
  • Regression Testing - Coordinate test with appropriate CVA personnel
  • Consolidate brief for each Regression Test
  • Provide CVA leadership weekly updates to TAV charts for Presentation to customers.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The candidate must possess the technical skills necessary to support testing under general supervision for the evaluation of hardware, software, algorithms and processes to verify and characterize the capabilities of the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) element of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Testing will take place in a variety of environments/venues (stand-alone and integrated testing; in a laboratory, at a warfighter site, and potentially within multi-element ground and flight tests). The candidate must be able to learn to individually conduct tests, collect and analyze data from those tests, communicate results to test team members, test management, and other program teams. Required Skills: Spreadsheet analysis, and associated tools; Desired skills: experience in the use of requirements traceability tools such as DOORS; the use of discrepancy tracking tools such as Rational ClearQuest; software test and analysis tools, the use of tools for test automation; JAVA software or PYTHON scripting development, PL/SQL queries.
