Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.


Travel may be required.


Candidates should have experience in several of the following:

  • System Level Certification and Accreditation (DIACAP and/or RMF)
  • Understanding of RMF Controls and their application
  • Security scanning and patching experience and the knowledge to analyze these results
  • Knowledge of Cross Domain solutions and products
  • Awareness of security architectures and design processes such as requirements analysis, requirement management, use case and scenario generation, and security architecture development
  • Defense in Depth/Breadth
  • Network/Security Management

Candidates must have TS/SCI security clearance. Applicants selected will be subjected to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Qualifications (preferred)

Experience in some of the following would be beneficial:

  • Security scanning and patching using DoD recommended tools such as ACAS and Nexus
  • Risk Management Framework
  • Intrusion detection and incident reporting/handling
  • Contingency Planning
  • Network Operations

Applicants with a CISSP, ISSEP and/or ISSAP are desired.

The General Dynamics Mission Systems' Security and Cyber Solutions Engineering group seeks professionals to work closely with our customer to specify, implement, integrate and deploy a secure system architecture and security concepts and strategies. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will perform activities such as:


  • Provide security expertise in an IPT environment
  • Perform security scanning, patching and analysis for the program
  • Support the generation of the engineering view of the user's vision for what the security design needs to be and do
  • Ensuring that all analysis, designs, system specifications, technical solutions, and technical documentation complies with the contract and supports the security Goals and Objectives and the security requirements
