Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Information Systems, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree. Agile experience preferred

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a Senior Technology Support Administrator to join our team.  This position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nations fundamental defense services.  GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.  The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to perform technical activities that impact the design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems.  In addition to receiving a competitive salary and generous health and personal benefits, the Senior Technology Support Administrator will enhance their skill-set by working among a talented and technically accomplished group of colleagues. The successful candidate will:

  • Capture (Multi-Int Archive and Analysis System) MAAS data
  • Perform MAAS Database maintenance
  • Add/Remove user accounts in Active directory
  • Maintain the MAAS Application itself
  • Install and upgrade MAAS Hardware (servers and workstations)
  • Mission Marker software
  • Perform MAAS Publishing
  • Develop and support MAAS Web
  • Archive and restore data
  • Burn Blu-ray disks  
  • Support the following OS and software: MS Windows 7 and XP Workstations, Windows 2003 and 2008 Server Administration, Active Directory, MAAS (Multi-int Analysis and Archive System), MS Office Suites, Adobe Suites, Corel Paint Shop Pro, Sensor Systems Remote View Pro ELT, Symantec Anti-Virus, Veritas Back-up Exec, Easy CD Creator, Mozilla, and Internet Explorer Web Browsers
  • Perform support administration and maintenance of the following hardware components: Dell Workstations and Servers, Extron and PESA video switching equipment, Plasma and LCD Monitors, Dell LTO tape libraries, VTC equipment, and various network cable management
  • Report information through weekly site communications group meetings, weekly status reports, and monthly logs to team members and management

3rd shift 9PM to 6AM  hours **Occasional Rotating Saturday

 

Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of advanced electronics systems, and the ability to further advance and support GDMS network technology.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of the imagery exploitation life-cycle, and various imagery systems

• Ability to support a 24x7x365 work environment with 10 hour shifts


CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
