Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.

GDMS is seeking a Radar Systems Architect to support the development of Radar Systems and Radar Technologies. Seeking an Engineer with experience in the design, development and test of RADAR, wireless communications and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. Design expertise includes system architecture, system analysis, circuit design, FPGA and documentation of analysis and design decisions. When taking a design from concept to development they want someone who can select the best mix of technologies to optimize in the characteristics the customer values, whether that is low SWAP, high performance, low cost, or others. This person needs experience with RF systems; to include antennas, RF distribution systems, RF filtering technologies (such as different types of band-pass, low-pass, and high pass filters), LNAs, IP2/3, phase noise, ADCs, DACs, high-power amplifiers, phase-matched systems, RF link budgets and digital RF.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
This leadership position requires a high degree of radar systems technical competency as the engineer will be working with and leading a team to implement Radar RF Subsystems. Working closely with System, Mechanical, Electrical, Software engineers, the RF Systems Engineer will lead development efforts, which includes design completion, integration, component analysis, performance analysis, statistical modeling, performance measurements and data analysis to ensure system compliance. The engineer is expected to support innovation, idea and concept formulation and business development efforts within the Radar and Sensors Business Segment. This position requires both detail oriented capabilities to lead the development and support of Radar RF subsystem designs and broader Radar system modeling capabilities to assess and trade the impacts of sub-system requirements against radar operational performance, this includes cost versus operational performance trade-offs. Will drive the development of new innovative technologies by researching and developing discriminating technologies. Will serve as an advocate for technical solutions and concepts with customer/end users.

•Development and Test experience, to include expert level experience working with RF Test Equipment (including Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Pulse Generators, Network Analyzers, and Power Meters).
•Knowledge and experience working with Transmitter components (amplifiers, power supplies) and practical experience testing and analyzing performance.
•Ability to perform Gain, Noise and Intercept Analysis covering all key measurements (e.g. Noise Figure, Dynamic Range, System Sensitivity
•Experience with Antennas and Phased Arrays.
•Travel up to 30% required
