Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or related field or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Program Security Officer.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

The Program Security Officer, as part of the General Dynamics Mission Systems security organization, will be responsible for administering the requirements of the NISPOM/DCID/ ICD/JAFAN Security Manual for Department of Defense (DoD), Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) programs and Special Access Programs (SAP) ensuring proper levels of protection are provided to prevent an unacceptable adverse impact on national security.  

 

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

  •  Develop and administer General Dynamics Mission Systems Security Education Awareness and Training programs for assigned employees for classified or proprietary materials, documents and equipment
  • Stay informed of security trends and research regulations related to General Dynamics Mission Systems and our clients.
  • Provide security direction and counsel to Program Management and employees
  • Maintain visitor access and the preparation of security related regulations, manuals, policies and the development of a system to handle, store and maintain company records
  • Must be knowledgeable of Closed Area/SCIF/SAPF construction, and COMSEC custodian duties
  • Prepare reports and specify actions to prevent future breaches should a security violation occur
  • Ensure compliance and regulation standards are met so General Dynamics Mission Systems can advance our business performance and deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the General Dynamics Mission Systems culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
