Applicants must meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II or higher
Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph to be obtained within a 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Windows System Administrator. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The Windows System administrator supports classified Windows networks as well as Windows Terminal Servers running as a service on the TNE network. They must have thorough working knowledge of all aspects of Windows remote desktop services, remote management techniques and tools. They must be able to manage Windows computers and devices across the entire enterprise and ensure the highest level of availability, integrity and confidentiality.
They will perform builds, installs and preventative maintenance throughout the give system life-cycle. In case of a system failure or shortcoming, they will work to bring the system back online within the required performance standard.
They require excellent communication skills as they will be in frequent contact with customers both in person and electronically. They must be willing to travel to worldwide locations in support of customer missions.
